What we collect

We only collect personal data when you choose to contact us or use a service linked from this site.

  • When you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything you include in your message.
  • When you book a call, you do this on Calendly. Calendly collects your booking details (such as your name, email address and any answers you give) and shares them with us so we can hold the call.
  • When you apply to join wavegen creators, you do this on Skool. Skool collects the details you give in your application and shares them with us.
  • When you visit the site, our hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so the site can be delivered and kept secure.
  • The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts. To do this, your browser connects to Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address.

Cookies

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set a small technical cookie that is strictly necessary to deliver the site correctly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Why we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiries and arrange and hold calls you've booked. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To assess applications to wavegen creators. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the programme, or taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
  • To run and secure this website. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for automated decision-making.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking details only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and then delete them. If you become a client or a member of wavegen creators, we keep the records we need for as long as our agreement lasts, and afterwards for as long as the law requires for legal, tax and accounting purposes (in the UK this is usually six years). Calendly, Skool, Google and our hosting provider keep data in line with their own privacy policies.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the service providers we use to run our business, including:

  • Calendly, for booking calls
  • Skool, for creator applications
  • Google, for website fonts
  • our website hosting provider
  • our email provider

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on legal safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct data that's wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your data
  • ask us to restrict or stop using your data
  • object to us using your data based on our legitimate interests
  • ask for your data in a portable format

To use any of these rights, email hello@wavegenmarketing.com. We'll respond within one month.
